Jenny Ulrich earned a BA in German Language and Literature and a MA in Sociolinguistics at the University of Bern. She also studied Political Sciences at the University of Geneva. Currently she is working on her PhD project on deliberation in contexts of social exclusion under the supervision of Ass.-Prof. Dr. Martin Reisigl (University of Vienna) and Prof. Dr. Crispin Thurlow (University of Bern).

 

Research Interests:

Language and society: critical discourse studies, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, semiotics, ethnography, language and social exclusion (class inequality, nationalism, racism), rhetoric, argumentation, language and affect.
