Michael Boog is a PhD candidate in North American Literature and Culture. In 2024, he received a Doc.CH grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation for his doctoral research project "The Problem of Worldmaking: Critical Irrealism in Contemporary Anglophone World Literatures", which runs until 2028. His research interests include contemporary Anglophone fiction, irrealist aesthetics, the representation of labor and capitalism in literature and culture more broadly, as well as world literary theory.
